Title: For Pasadena

Joan Miró (1893-1983) found notoriety through his Surrealist work mixed with occasional Fauvist and Expressionist influences. Born in Catalan, Miró has become a source of great pride for Spain, with many items from his catalogue reaching international acclaim. His paintings, sculptures, and ceramics portrayed new and unexplored topics within the art world such as four-dimensional painting, automatic drawing, and the three-dimensionality of sculpture, and he is often credited with ushering in the establishment of Surrealism as a cultural movement.
