General Motors formed Inland in 1923 as a way to produce automotive steering wheels consisting of iron spokes as part of the new technology boom around automobile production during this time period. Inland's steering wheel expanded to other types of products as it began to see more commercial success. This advertisement chronicles the start of this notoriety.
