 Description:

Superior anise liqueur of Brittany

The unmistakable yellow of the anise apéritif glows from the center of this advertisement, popping out of the surrounding sea of blues and blacks.

Brittany, a region in north-west France, was populated by Brittons of southwestern Great Britain from the 3rd to the 9th century.  This advertisement plays on the culture's relationship with both the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean by using a cold, oceanic color palate and a sailor as the subject.
