German travel poster advertising the university-town Heidelberg, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. We see the view of the city through lush greenery looking through to a castle on a mountain and the city down below. Artist Jupp Wiertz was born in Aachen in 1888 and studied in Berlin and Leipzig. He later went on to work on publicity for the German Reichsbahn, Zeppelin production art designs, and for Lufthansa.
