This poster was used for Eugene McCarthy's 1968 presidential campaign against Lyndon B. Johnson. His platform was solely on the platform of anti-Vietnam war and Ben Shahn, the designer behind this poster, was known for his leftist works, so it was the perfect duo.

A multicolored striped pigeon looks out into the distance. This poster is hand-signed by Ben Shahn.
