Temporary War Monument

Christo Vladimirov Javacheff is noted for his environmental sculptures throughout the World. His pieces are known for being experimental with their vibrant colors and large scale operations that sometimes stretch over long distances.

He worked alongside his wife Jeanne-Claude and a team of construction workers that help build and take down the extravagant works.

Christo escaped from Communism in the 1950's so the idea of freedom and open beauty is very important to him. Many of his fabrics exemplify this idea as well in the way they can be manipulated or blown freely by the wind.
