Susan Hayward, originally Edythe Marrenner, was an American actress lnown for her roles in biopics. Her most famous films include "I Want to Live!", "My Foolish Heart," and "I'll Cry Tomorrow."

The photographer of this portrait was known for his glamour shots and the distinctive imagery of Hollywood starlets during the 1930s and 1940s.
