This beautifully colored original comic strip was done by Burne Hogarth. Based on the writing of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Hogarth wrote weekly Tarzan newspaper strips from around 1937 to 1950. Hogarth had a lasting impact on the art world, creating an art school meant for WWII veterans, which later became the School of the Visual Arts, or SVA. His Tarzan strips specifically, made it big in Europe and were much loved.
