The Future as We Know It Poster
17 x 24 in (43 x 61 cm)
Vintage music poster done in a clever tongue-in-cheek style. The poster is for the record label Sub Pop that garnered acclaim in the 80s for signing famous grunge bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden. The poster, however, takes a more light-hearted approach to advertise Sub Pop's grunge bands. Illustrated on the poster is a wealthy lady hailing a cab as a concierge holds her many packages for her—dainty packages that just happen to be labeled with the names of Sub Pop's various rock bands.
"Super Suckers. The Spinanes. Combustible Edison. 5ive Style. Red Red Meat Zumpano. Hardship Post. Six Finger Satellite."
