French illustrator Henri Gerbault printed his signature in the bottom left corner of this mystical print. It depicts a fantasy scene where an older man is a mountain and young women are the snow-covered flowers that surround him. Gerbault was known as one of the leading artists of the Belle Epoque era, often completing work for Le Rire and L'Art et la Mode, two prominent French illustrative magazines at the time.
