A colorful and fantastical poster commissioned by Musee Grevin, a wax museum in Paris and the oldest wax museum in Europe.

It was in the 1890s that the poster started being more widely recognized as a form of artistic expression. The poster became an integral part of the cityscape during the Belle Epoque, turn of the century in Europe—its colorful, larger-than-life images were both indispensable to advertising and a respected art form in itself.
