Ludin-Ludine Poster

France, c. 1900

15 x 10 in (38 x 25 cm)

ID #LBXS-LONGERHORIZONTALMISC-3-S

A French fantasy story poster that tells the tale of a poor man named Simon who asks the fairy Ludin-Ludine for financial aid. However, much like the modern-day American university financial aid system, it was a sham, and Simon ended up poorer than he began. A cute, whimsical illustated story that is also very cautionary for both children and adults.

Year: Story by Francis Poictevin was originally published before 1883
