Vintage poster produced by the British National Committee for Relief in Belgium, a committee organized to provide compensation to Belgium for its World War I losses. The poster depicts a goddess, perhaps Minerva or Athena, looking down charitably on a scrappy woman and her three children, perhaps an allegory for Britain looking down charitably on defiled Belgium. 

"Royal Albert Hall June 21st. They must not starve. Support the local fund."
