47 x 32 in (119 x 81 cm)

ID #ROLLDWN52A-L-02

“15 Aout 1915, Au profit des oeuvres de guerre du département pour les combattants, les blesses, les convalescents, les mutiles, les refugies, les prisonniers.” (Calvados Day, August 15, 1915, For the benefit of the department's war works for the combatants, the wounded, the convalescents, the disabled, the refugees, the prisoners.)

This lovely vintage poster advertises a charity event to support those who need help. A motherly-like figure with a caring face is in the forefront of the poster while masses of bedraggled people are in the background, faint images of war alluding to what conspired. This style of drawing is very much typical of the time period, as is the typography choice. This is an original poster from France.
