Gaston Mardochée Brunswick, better known by his pseudonym Montéhus (9 July 1872 - December 1952) This brutally graphic image depicts four central figures chained to a type of pillory as they are held captive before the people. The heads represent the corrupt and exploitative sides of government; in this image they are presented to an angry crowd to be mocked and humiliated for the sins they have committed to society.
