Big Brother and the Holding Company attempted to rebrand the band's image in the 1980s after they hit their peak popularity around the 1960s with frontwoman then Janis Joplin. The newest addition to the band was new singer Michelle Bastian (who sometimes went by Michel Bastian). This poster advertises the band at the old Fillmore Auditorium in 1987 alongside Cris Loiter and the Hangouts.
