"We must shed our pacifist shell for the lessons of the Persian Gulf require us to recognize the necessity for a rapid mobilization capability. Therefore, by reinstituting the draft we shall raise the standards of military preparedness, and thus exxonerate this Administration of the false charge of martial incompetence..."

This stunning protest poster is a satirist take on George Bush, Sr.’s initial “Persian Gulf War” speech. A portion of the speech shows words replaced with large gas corporation logos, showing his ulterior motives. Cartoon figures on the bottom are shown saying "seems like I've heard this crap before..." which in response a woman says, "yeah, 1941 here we go again..." The building with a sign that formerly said USDA Meat Inspection Center now says, "Grand Opening! US Draft Inspection Center," alluding to the next war.
