Also known as cranesbills, geraniums are perennial plants found in the more temperate regions of the world. They rival roses for their herbaceous fragrance, and are often used in perfumes.
This hand-colored copper plate engraving is part of a collection of prints from the book Figures of the Most Beautiful Plants Described in the Gardeners Dictionary, published by Philip Miller in London in 1770. There were multiple contributing illustrators, including Georg Ehret.
