This print shows two types of alchimilla plant, which would now be spelled alchemilla, and could also be referred to as Lady's Mantles. This plant is used to treat various health conditions and pains related to fertility and menstruation.

This hand-colored copper plate engraving is part of a collection of prints from the book Figures of the Most Beautiful Plants Described in the Gardeners Dictionary, published by Philip Miller in London in 1770. There were multiple contributing illustrators, including Georg Ehret.
