Two kinds of Arum lilies are shown in this print. The plant has been traditionally used for a variety of medical treatments, from cancer to rheumatism.
This hand-colored copper plate engraving is part of a collection of prints from the book Figures of the Most Beautiful Plants Described in the Gardeners Dictionary, published by Philip Miller in London in 1770. There were multiple contributing illustrators, including Georg Ehret.
