Poster for the election campaign of Herbert Hoover, the incumbent Republican nominee for the United States presidential election of 1932. Poster features a black and white photograph of Hoover below the slogan "KEEP HIM ON THE JOB".
Herbert Hoover won the previous presidential election in a landslide against Democratic nominee Al Smith, but his popularity took a sharp downturn during his presidency in large part due to the Great Depression, which many Americans blamed him for. He was beaten in 1932 by Democratic candidate Franklin D. Roosevelt in a landslide, marking the end of the Republican-dominated Fourth Party System. Hoover's popularity was so low that even other prominent Republicans publicly advocated for Roosevelt.
