The side profile of a Nagel woman is depicted, lightning bolt earrings and a teal headband make this a distinctly 1980s piece.
Artist: Patrick Nagel
Patrick Nagel was heavily inspired by both the pop art movement and the Art Deco style, which can be seen in his distinct works. After Nagel began contributing his images regularly to Playboy Magazine, the idea of the "Nagel Woman," was created and formed a loyal audience of fans of his art. His work was published by Mirage editions and shown in fine art galleries across America. Soon, he designed the cover art of Duran Duran's album Rio, further cementing his place as a 1980s art centerpiece.
