This beautiful book cover is for the series of design details by architect Owen Jones. The border mimics the motifs seen throughout the Alhambra, with vibrant red and blues, as well as interlaid gold sheen. The cover is art itself. The text reads "Details and Ornaments from the Alhambra by Owen Jones Architect."

This print comes from a compilation of plans, elevations, sections and details or the famous Alhambra. The Alhambra is a feat of Islamic architecture, a palace in Grenada, Spain. This book was created from the drawings of architects Jules Goury and Owen Jones. Jones was known for his eye for design and is often attributed with being a pioneer of modern color theory. His attention to detail is recognized in his works in this compilation. The works of Goury included in this compilation were drawings done on site at the Alhambra in 1834.
