Poster designed by Milton Glaser and Jean-Michel Folon advertising the 1977 exhibition "Paris/New York, which screened about 40 American and French films tracing the development of motion pictures. It featured American films about New York, and French films about Paris. It was directed by Henri Langlois, the founder-director of the Cinematheque Française in Paris. The exhibition was presented by the American Cinematheque, partnered with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Poster features stylized color block lettering "MOV"and "IES" in two stylized blocks depicting Paris and New York, respectively. Signatures of Glaser and Folon present on right side of poster.
