"Artistic Japan / A Monthly Illustrated Journal of Arts & Industries / conducted by S. Bing"

Artistic Japan was a journal published in French, German, and English for Europeans who were interested in learning more about the culture and artistic style of Japan. Publisher Siegfried Bing was passionate about introducing Japanese art to Europe, and some even credit him with naming the Art Nouveau movement that also took inspiration from Japanese art. The publication ran from 1888-1891.
