Pour etre a Rome imperator Cesar passa le Rubicon, et dit: Alea jacta est! Mais lui, ce soldat temeraire. S'arrete devant un caillou; car ce caillou porte le nom du coup d'Etat du Deux decembre et celui du Dix-huit brumaire. 

Translation: In order to be in Rome, Emperor Caesar passed the Rubicon, and said: The die is cast!  But he, the audacious soldier, stopped before a stone; for on this stone were the names of a coup d'etat from December second and from Brumaire eighteenth.
