This initiative aimed to generate public support for the K.N.V.v.L.’s mission of introducing young people to aviation, including both model and motor flight. To fund youth aviation programs, particularly motor flying training, the Royal Netherlands Aeronautical Association organized a Dutch charity lottery after World War II. Approved in May 1946, the lottery offered luxury prizes in exchange for one-guilder tickets, with proceeds benefiting the motor flying division of the K.N.V.v.L., the national aviation body.
