Photographer Patrick Zachmann captured this image entitled 'So Long, China' of a woman looking forlorn in the back of a vehicle. Zachmann is known for his documentation of shifts in Chinese culture since the early 1980s.
Founded in 1947, Magnum Photos celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2007 by offering a traveling exhibition entitled 'Magnum on display: 60 years, 60 kiosks.' The piece was one of several exhibited photographs from 20 famous photographers, such as Raymond Depardon, Abbas, Richard Kalvar, Guy Le Querrec, Jonas Bendiksen, and Martin Parr, amongst others. These photos replaced the traditional magazine covers in the windows of kiosks, allowing Parisians and visitors to stroll leisurely through the streets.
