This colorful poster which is over 100 years old has a fascinating backstory. The Pageant of Rex, which is Latin for King, is one of the most popular parades in New Orleans' Mardi Gras celebration. In begain in 1872 to honor a russian King who visited Mardi Gras and has been tradition ever since. This poster shows all the different celebrations, including poetry, science, dancing, and more.

Condition: Fair, has many pieces missing, especially in the top right corner.
