Action newspaper was created by a few Union of Communist Students (UEC). 50,000 copies of the first edition of the newspaper were sold in the street during the demonstration on Tuesday, May 7, 1968. Action stopped publishing definitively on June 2, 1969, after 46 issues. Jean Pierre Vigier was the director, with his name found on the backside of the paper.
