Description:
This piece of propaganda came from Mao's Cultural Revolution which lasted from 1966 until 1976. In an effort to re-establish the proper ideology within the People's Republic of China, he called on the youth of his country to help purge the Republic of those who might be steered towards capitalism.
Poster art at this time was one of the main sources of information for the masses, and they were sold cheaply in order to ensure their more prolific dissemination. The art of the posters was almost always completed in the Socialist Realist style, depicting the idealized people of China.
