This piece was originally a centerfold spotlight in La Plume, a French bi-monthly literary and artistic review. The magazine was established in 1889 and ran until 1914. Famous artists such as Grasset, Toulouse-Latrec, Pissarro, Signac, and Seurat all contributed to its artistry. In the circular images, the twelve zodiac signs are drawn.
