This piece by Belgian painter Frantz Charlet depicts Victorian-era English fox hunting in action, with people dressed in traditional attire on horses guiding the hounds. Charlet was well-known for his oil paintings, but this is a lovely example of his other styles of work. Today, fox hunting is still legal in some parts of the world, but is illegal in England, Scotland, and Wales.
