This beautiful poster is advertising travel to Basque Country using Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Francais (SNCF), or the French National Railways. The Basque Country is an autonomous community in Northern Spain that even has its own language. A small village is shown in this lovely scene, with a crumbling ancient bridge, Spanish-style homes, and a couple in traditional Basque garb. This is an original poster from the 1960s.
