United States Postal Service poster advertising the release of a memorial stamp for 33rd U.S. President Harry S. Truman, a Democrat who served from 1945 to 1953. The memorial stamp was released in April, 1973, shortly after his death in December of 1972. Truman is widely considered to have been a generally successful president. Poster features the stamp design against various black and white photos of Truman engaging in political and personal activities throughout multiple stages of his life.
