"The Paramount Plays Again / Paramount Theatre / Broadway at 21st Street, Oakland"

A promotional poster advertising the re-opening of the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA in 1973. The Paramount has been a staple of California/East Bay theater culture, but due to constraints in budget and fluctuating ownership, it has closed and re-opened a number of times. The Oakland Symphony Orchestra Association purchased the Paramount in 1972 where they then able to sell out subscription sales and individual concerts. The poster's design pays homage to the art deco style of the concert hall and using the Grand Lobby's Fountan of Light over the marquee as inspiration.

Year: 1973

Condition: Good; please note paper creasing. Metallic background creates a sheen and is not indicative of poster's actual color.
