This poster promotes Alexandre Dumas's "La Dame aux Camelias" as a theatrical adaptation at the Theatre de la Renaissance with Sarah Bernhardt in the leading role. The original show premiered in 1896 with the poster printed by F. Champenois in Paris. Marvelous purples sway in the background, with stars and roses framing Ms. Bernhardt, in this truly Art Nouveau piece. This is not the original poster and has been reprinted in the United States. Please also note that the silver lettering is slightly reflective.
