"Spadkobiercy / Szołem Alejchem / Panstwowy Teatr Żydowski"

This Polish film poster advertises a Spadkobiercy, a Polish stage production that is typically a parody of the soap opera tropes of Dynasty and Dallas. Actors must improvise based on a loose script of what to talk about. In this instance, 'Shalom aleichem' literally means "May peace be upon you," and is used as a greeting in traditional Hebrew and Yiddish. However, the spadkobiercy may have been about Sholen Aleichem's life--a Yiddish playright. The event took place at the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, Poland.
