Original artwork / maquette by French artist Raoul Eric Castel (1915-1997) for Philips electronics, showing a ghost-like bandit surrounded by the various technology -- from televisions to record players, Philips has got it all! Deep royal blues pair well with the bold yellow writing, making it a distinctly '60's poster. This poster is a working drawing, meaning it was an exploratory drawing used to brainstorm the end result of what the final poster would look like, and is therefore considered an original art piece by the artist. Castel also used gouache paint which is similar to watercolor in its composition, but is designed to be opaque and dries to a flat finish with intense concentrations of large pigments.

Condition: Philips' slogan is "c'est plus sûr" meaning "it's safer" but this poster is missing an r. The record player is cut out and glued into place, there are creases over painting, and the mab's elbow is pasted over the television.
