American impresario Sol Hurok managed Russian mezzo-soprano opera singer Irina Arkhipova during a long-awaited U.S. tour with Russia's Bolshoi Ballet in 1959. He managed to bring the Bolshoi Theatre back in 1962 again, despite it being during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis. This commemorative poster features Arkhipova alongside critical praise for her vocals.
