"Hurá do díla / 'Hurray to work we go!' by 10 yr. old boys and girls of the Natl. Element School in Prague XVIII, Czechoslovakia"

This illustration was collaborated on by elementary-aged children to support the Communist movement during Prague Spring in Czechoslovakia (Czech Republic) on a thin roll down canvas sheet. The goal was to show support to those still working who were not revolting against Stalin's regime.

Year: c. 1970

Condition: Paper is lifting from thin canvas backing and there is fraying of canvas as well as paper creasing and tearing.
