"James A. Herne's Beautiful Play"

Original vintage poster for Shore Acres, a play about star-crossed lovers on the New England coast in Maine. This play was later adapted into a silent film in 1920. All known copies of the film were lost, making posters like these the last physical remnants of a play written by the father of American dramatic realism.
