A popular marketing gimmick used by the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation to encourage brand loyalty during and after the Great Depression. Raleigh was the first major cigarette brand to introduce a continuous coupon program in 1932. This "coupon treatment" was highly successful, causing sales to increase nearly every year.
