English translation: "More than a third of England's maritime trade normally passes through the Port of London. The vessels entering or leaving the port in a year weighed a total of 63,000,000 tons; their cargoes weighed more than 44,000,000 The illustration shows ships in the Georges V dock, the best equipped in the port, which can accommodate ships of 35,000,000 tons. The huge warehouses of the Port of London have room for 2,000,000 tons of goods."
