Vintage Dutch poster for ferry trips to the islands of Urk and Schokland in the Zuiderzee bay, just off the northern coast of the Netherlands. In 1933 and 1942, Urk and Schokland, respectively, were connected to the mainland and thus lost their island status. This poster, thus, evokes a Netherlands of long-ago.
