The colors of this poster are just strikingly beautiful from the bold magenta flowing fabric to the prettiest teal background. This advertisement for a February fair in Leipzig, Germany was put out by the Ury Gebruder (brothers). Das Warenhaus Ury was founded by Moritz and Julius Ury, Jewish brothers, as the first department store in Leipzig. It was wildly popular because it boasted high-quality products for low prices. It was put out of business in the 1940s, when the brothers were forced into exile because of Hitler.
