"Ours...to fight for. Freedom of speech. Freedom of worship. Freedom from want. Freedom from fear."

This poster was commissioned by the Office of War Informations, the imagery originating from the Saturday Evening Post. It depicts all of Norman Rockwell's "Four Freedoms" painting series. The 1943 paintings are inspired by the 1941 State of the Union address by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in which he outlined four democratic values that he considered essential to preserve: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. Rockwell utilized this speech after the United States entered World War II, as support for war efforts.
