Annona fruits are edible, and these plants have many medicinal and nutritional properties; they may be used to help treat cancer, diabetes and bacterial infections.
This hand-colored copper plate engraving is part of a collection of prints from the book Figures of the Most Beautiful Plants Described in the Gardeners Dictionary, published by Philip Miller in London in 1770. There were multiple contributing illustrators, including Georg Ehret.
