Ionel Talpazan was a Romanian self-taught outsider artist who focused on painting UFOs. His hope as an artist was that in the future NASA would interpret his work as both art and science. His work is in the collections of the American Visionary Art Museum, the Museum of Everything, the Musee d’Art Brut L’Aracine, and more (via folkart.org/mag/obituary-ionel-talpazan).
