Original vintage map of Air France's flight lines from the summer of 1953-4. Based in Paris, these flight lines extend all across Europe to Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Though it looks like a lot of flights, the flight map today would be about 100 times more expansive. This was just the start of worldwide air travel.
